Personalized Web Settings using JAWS
For setting custom page summary options, for all the Web pages, you need to select the required option from the MISC tab of the HTML options dialog box.
IGNORE FLASH CONTENT
Today most of the Websites include Flash presentations. How often have you come across situations, whereby it becomes difficult to access content on a Web page which includes flash elements?
You can now set JAWS to ignore flash content. You can customize JAWS to completely ignore flash content for a particular Web page or for all Web pages.
- Open the Web page for which flash content needs to be ignored.
- Press Insert + V to open the Adjust JAWS verbosity dialog box.
- Press F to come to the option, Flash movies on.
- Press Spacebar to turn it off.
- Press Down arrow to come to the option, Refresh flash movies automatically.
- Press Spacebar to turn it off.
- Press Enter to close the dialog box.
To ignore flash content on all the Web pages:
- Open the Web browser.
- Press Insert + F2 to open Run JAWS Manager dialog box.
- Select the Configuration Manager option.
- From the Set Options menu, select HTML options.
- Select the MISC page.
- Select the Ignore flash on Web pages check box.
- Click OK.
- Save the settings and close the JAWS Configuration Manager.
