Placemarkers
We have all read books during some time in our life. But did we manage to finish it in one go? How
did you know where to continue reading from? Did you leave the book open till the next time you read it?
Did you remember the page numbers of various half-read books? All you would do is use a simple
bookmark in each book to know where you have stopped reading.
Similarly, we often come across lengthy Web pages. Have you felt lost reading a lengthy Web page?
Found it very tiresome to get back to the point where you had stopped reading? Ever wished that you could
mark a particular location on a Web page, so that you could continue reading from there the next
time you visited
the Web page?
JAWS 5.0 onwards these problems have been solved. PlaceMarkers are a brilliant feature added to JAWS 5.0 that enables you to mark important information on a Web page.
You can set PlaceMarkers for reading relevant information found on a lengthy document, or filling up
a complex form. You can set either temporary or permanent PlaceMarker.
