Personalized Web Settings using JAWS
Wow! We can save our settings. But are you happy with just that? Don't you want to share your settings with your friends and colleagues? JAWS 5.10 provides you with the Settings Packager tool, to import and export JAWS schemes and settings. Settings Packager saves all JAWS settings and schemes information in a compressed .zip file, which can be sent through e-mail, posted on the Internet or copied on a storage device.
To share the Personalized Web Settings information using Settings Packager:
- Select Start --> Programs JAWS --> Tools --> Settings Packager. The Settings Packager dialog box appears.
- Press Alt + F to open the File menu.
- Select the New option and press Enter.
- Select the required file to be shared from the Current Settings list view.
- Press Alt + X to export the settings.
- Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
- Type the filename and select the folder to save the file.
To share the Personalized Web Setting manually:
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Browse to the JAWS\settings\enu\personalized settings folder.
Personalized Web Setting are saved with the file name such as, n-syst.com.psi
- Select the required .psi file.
- Press Ctrl + C to copy the file.
- Browse to required location where you want to paste the file.
- Press Ctrl + V to paste the file.
