Accessibility Sensitizing Training

 

Disability awareness is a pre-requisite to mark the beginning of accessibility. Unless people are sensitized towards the needs of disabled people, it is difficult to implement accessibility. We have designed 'Border Crossing' as an exclusive training module dedicated to the concept of sensitizing.

When we meet people with disabilities, there is hesitance from people with disabilities and without disabilities, as they don't know how the other behaves. In such situations, there exists a border that prevents us from interacting.

To cross this border, it is essential that people are sensitized towards the disabled community and vice-versa. We have termed this approach as Border Crossing, as both the individuals cross their respective borders to create an inclusive society.

Some of the sectors where Border Crossing is of great value are:
  • Educational Institutes
  • Hotels
  • Airlines
  • Banks
  • IT Organizations

For each of sectors the training can be modulated to meet the business needs. For example, for the hotel industry we have divided the training into three modules:

  • Module 1: Sensitizing Towards People with Disabilities
  • Module 2: Basic Service Delivery
  • Module 3: Customer Support
